The Privacy Officer will receive an e-mail spreadsheet with the Practice’s usernames and passwords for each participant entered when ordering the online HIPAA Training Course. The Privacy Officer will have instructions to notify each participant their individual username and password. Each participant will need to log-in to the 1-hour online training site, complete the 10 Modules on HIPAA, and take a 15-question test. The online training can be stopped and resumed from the last point completed by staff members. At the completion of the test, each participant will be able to download and print a HIPAA Training Completion Certificate.

This certificate can be handed in to the Privacy Officer as confirmation that the Online Training was completed successfully. There is a tab in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure binder to keep all participants’ certificates.

Each participant must log-in to take the exam under his/her username and password. Physicians’ Ally, Inc. has the ability to track the completion of the modules by user. Logging into the course and only completing the exam is not considered a completion in training. Each participant has 60 days to complete this course once user names and passwords are sent to the Privacy Officer.
